Some songs begin with a melody.

Mirage began with a story.
A story of longing. Of chemistry. Of connection. Of believing that maybe, just maybe, this relationship could become the answer to a deep ache. But like so many journeys we find ourselves on, what seemed so close never became something we could truly hold.
Most people notice the finished song.
Few notice the silence that came before it.
Yet that's where almost everything important happens.
Between ideas.
Between certainty and discovery.
Between knowing and becoming.
I've stopped fearing those spaces.
They're often where the most meaningful work begins.
Not because they're comfortable.
But because they ask something of us.
There comes a moment during almost every project when something changes.
At first, I'm making decisions.
Choosing chords.
Exploring melodies.
Trying different directions.
Then, almost without noticing...
The process shifts.
The song begins telling me where it wants to go.
That probably sounds strange.
But anyone who creates something deeply personal has likely experienced it.
There's a point where forcing stops working.
Listening becomes more important than controlling.
Every artist hopes their work reaches someone.
Of course I do.
But probably not in the way people expect.
I don't hope you'll remember every lyric.
I don't hope you'll think every song is perfect.
I don't even hope you hear exactly what I intended.
I hope you discover something that belongs to you.
Music has always been deeply personal.
The same song can mean something entirely different to two people listening side by side.
That's part of its beauty.
Every song has a beginning.
This one began with resistance.
There are seasons in life when our instinct is to fix everything immediately.
To move on.
To distract ourselves.
To convince ourselves we're okay before we've actually taken the time to understand what we're feeling.
"Walk With It" grew out of that tension.
People often assume that every meaningful thought eventually becomes music.
The truth is...
Most of it doesn't.
Some ideas arrive quietly and simply stay.

A single sentence that refuses to leave my thoughts.
Not because it needs to become a lyric.

There was a time when I thought writing music meant finding the right melody or the perfect lyric.
Over time, I realized neither comes first.
What comes first is the feeling.

That's where every piece begins.
